Structure of the Critical Literature ReviewYour Critical Literature Review should be structured as follows:? Personal details. Give a relevant title, your name, module and student number.? Title. Choose a sensible title, based around your choice of topic and themes.? Introduction. Define the general area and purpose of the report.? Overview of Literature. Present a table giving a 1 or 2 sentence summary of each paper. The table should be captioned underneath and referred to by its number (i.e. captioned ‘Table 1: Literature Identified’ or similar).? Critical Comparison. Present each theme that you have identified. Draw out the appropriate points from the literature relevant to each theme and critique it.? Conclusions. Sum up the contributions of the review and state any influence on future research.? References. Give full references for the papers used in Harvard style. Citations should be included in the main text.? Glossary. Define each unfamiliar term in one or two sentences.
