Because our local nursing home is being taken over by a national group, there will be new policies that we must adhere to as we progress. These policies are going to force our nursing home to adapt and change. I will review the new polices, the affects they have on our patients, the affect they have on our patient’s relatives, how we will effectively communicate to our patients, and what arrangements we are making for displaced individuals. In addition, I will attempt to define our role as a local nursing home being merged into a national group.
